01. GET TO KNOW YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER MORE
Alright, so we’ve obviously clicked from your Discovery Session – that’s why you booked Pari Studio as your wedding photographer! It would be a bit weird to have dinner and see a movie together, which is why engagement sessions are a great way to spend time getting to know your wedding photographer. Video calls are so convenient, but I absolutely love the face-to-face time we get to spend together during your engagement session. They’re a great way for us both of us to let our personalities meld, see how you interact as a couple, find ways to get authentic reactions, and create images of the two of you that you’ll love!
02. GET COMFORTABLE IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA
It’s not easy being in front of the camera, and it can be especially uncomfortable to be affectionate (kiss-kiss!) in front of the camera. You and your partner are the main focus on a wedding day, so it’s incredibly important to be comfortable in your photos because if you feel awkward there’s a good chance your photos will look awkward, and the last thing we want at Pari Studio is for you to be unhappy with your images. I will be devil’s advocate and say that sometimes awkward is good – hello Canadian Tuxedos and 80’s photo collage portraits with lasers – but for the most part, we want to look our best for our engagement session.
Your engagement session will allow you to experience how your photographer works, how they help you pose and prompts and suggestions they might make to put you at ease and help you feel comfortable in front of the camera!
03. HAVE IMAGES FOR SAVE THE DATES & TO DISPLAY
Sharing images on social media is a great way to get your guests excited for your upcoming wedding, but printing canvases, albums and images from your engagement session are a great way to personalize your wedding experience! Not only can you use these images for decorating your home as canvases, framed prints and acrylic blocks, but albums are a great way to create a personalized guest book to keep the wonderful words from your guests close by.
Don’t forget to display those framed prints and canvases on tables, with prizes/favours and on your gift table during your bridal shower and wedding!
